Westerner Park is central Alberta’s Destination for Celebration! As the largest trade show, agricultural, entertainment, sports, and convention facility, Westerner Park is host to over 1,500 events and 1.5 million visitors annually. Volunteers, in partnership with staff, are the driving force behind Westerner Park. It takes over two hundred volunteers working on approximately twenty five committees to plan and organize all Westerner Park produced events.

Westerner Park produced events include Westerner Days Fair & Exposition, Dairy Showcase, Westerner Pony Chuckwagon Tarp Auction, Northern Star Talent Search and the Westerner Spring Horse Show.

All volunteers are eligible to become shareholders. The purchase of a $10 share makes you a co-owner of the Association and allows you to vote for the Board of Directors at the annual general meeting in December.

Westerner Park volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds, ages, and geographic areas. Some volunteer committees work year-round and other committees meet less frequently. Each committee has a chairperson, a vice-chairperson, and a staff liaison.
